Annie Beatrice Driver

ROCKY MOUNT - Annie Beatrice Driver, age 96, a beautiful angel gained her wings on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 and went to walk with the Lord. Born in Wilson County, NC on August 15, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Will and Florence Varnell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Driver; her granddaughter, Tina Wall; her brothers, AJ, Johnny, William, Virgil; and sister, Alma.
Beatrice was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, and great-grandmother to so many. She never thought ill of anyone and never had a harsh word to say about anyone. Beatrice always had an open seat at her table. She would give the shirt off her back if she thought she could help anyone. She will be dearly missed. Spread your wings and fly high and know we all "love you the mostest" and we will miss you.
Beatrice is survived by her daughters, Linda Williams and Evelyn Driver; her son, Harry Driver; her grandchildren, Nina Peterson (Glenn), Taft Ervin (Sha Mills), Lisa Fields, Deborah Taylor, and Angie Davis; great-grandchildren, Sierra, Shyan, Chelsea, Cameron, Ray, Christopher (Kristina), and Brittany; and five great great-grandchildren, Alex, Tristan, Luke, Dakota, and Catalina.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Tim Parker and Pastor Glenn Hill officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Beats passing. She’s was a wonderful woman my dad (pop) truly loved. She was so kind, giving, loving , a great cook and was the only person I knew that could sound out her hug . She will be missed by so many. My heart is happy because I know my Aunt Beat is in heaven, but I am sad because I cannot speak to her personally until I too am a resident of heaven! My Aunt Beat was a perfect example of what a sweet Aunt should be. I loved her dearly. Harry and Linda, my thoughts and my prayers are with you.
