Ann Faye Pullen Reid

Ann Faye Pullen Reid, 85, passed away January 1, 2016. She was born January 2, 1930, in Whitakers, NC to the late Jimmie and Ethel Pullen. Ann graduated from Whitakers High School, attended East Carolina, and was a long time employee of Burlington Industries. She was a dedicated member of Edgemont Baptist Church for over 50 years. She sang faithfully in the choir each Sunday, and was known for her beautiful smile as she sang. She always put others before herself. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Reid, Jr. and her brother, John David Pullen. She is survived by her son, James W. Reid, III (Jim), and wife Lisa; her daughter, Lori Reid Mizelle and husband Jeff; her grandchildren, Melissa Reid Szabo and husband, Aaron, and Wesley Reid Mizelle, one great grandchild, Carter Reid Szabo; step grandchildren, Brandon and Courtney Mizelle. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Edgemont Baptist Church, 1622 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27803 with Rev. Thayer Stamper officiating. Burial will follow at Whitakers Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, January 3, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services. Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made in Anns name to Edgemont Baptist Church, 1622 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
