I just ran into your Mom a few weeks ago in Kmart. I had not seen her in years but she looked very much the same as I first remembered seeing her. Then I ran into Kathy and one of her sons in Food Lion. While I knew she had some health problems, I was surprised to see that she had passed away. She was always a very pleasant neighbor and I remember her from our time on Powell Drive. We were just down the road about 5 or 6 houses. My mother was Pauline Batts and my siblings that you would likely know are Kathy and Joe. So sorry for your loss. Debbie Batts Winstead
Our Sincerest Condolences to you and your family.

My mom was my best friend my rock she was a wonderful mother who knew no strangers thanks to all moms friends who gave her so much joy my best girl is gone to be with my dad.
My sincere condolences to the Dawes and Jackson family for your loss. Certainly Lena will be missed! During this time of sorrow, mediating on Jehovah God promises found in his word the Bible, regarding the end of death, and the hope for our dead loved ones, will bring us comfort and hope-2 Cor. 13, 4! Regarding the end of death, Jehovah helps us to appreciate that our enemy death will be brought to nothing-1 Cor. 1526! How wonderful it will be for that enemy death, to be dead, gone, never again to claim another member of our family! Regarding the hope for our dead loved ones, Jesus helps us to appreciate that we can be reunited with our dead loved ones. He demonstrated this, when he resurrected his close friend Lazarus who had been dead four days. After praying to his father Jehovah, Jesus was given the ability to resurrect Lazarus, and we can just imagine how excited his family and friends were when they saw him-John 1111-44! How excited we will be when Jehovah gives Jesus the okay to resurrect our dead loved ones-John 528, 29! Jehovah has given Jesus the keys of death and the grave, so he can unlock our family members from that state, and we can be truly reunited with them-Rev. 118! Please feel free to go to our websitewww.jw.org. When you get on the website, go the publications tab, and then go to the Books and Brochures tab and search for the Book What Does The Bible Really Teach, and read chapter 7 Real Hope for Your Loved Ones Who have Died. I’m sure you will find comfort from the points brought out from the scriptures! Please feel free to email me at [emailprotected] if you have any questions. May your family be comforted!
What a wonderful day in Remembrance of a loving Mother and Aunt. May your own faith in God be with you and the family in the days to come and know that you are not alone. Love You.

There is a very comforting scripture at Isa. 25 8, that says soon Jehovah will swallow up death forever & he will wipe away all the tears. So we can all look forward to a time when death will be no more. I hope that his scripture con bring some comfort during these difficult time.
