She was always so kind to me, as she would visit her mother’s home beside ours. I am so sorry for your loss.
I would like to send my deepest sympathy to the family. Miriam was a dear friend and will truly be missed.
51 years ago in Rocky Mount, prior to fast food restaurants and growth beyond Westview Park Baptist Church on Sunset Ave., Miriam and her family welcomed ALL into their home for foodfunfellowship & entertainment. Rocky Mount would not have been what it is today without their assisting Mayor John T. Minges & associates bringing industry to Rocky Mount making it the City On the Rise!!! Ms. Miriam and family exhibited True Southern Hospitality. Ms. Miriam was truly a Party Going Somewhere to Happen……A true Southern Belle!!! Thank You Helen, Leigh, Dale and family for sharing your Beloved Mother with all of us with such fond memories……Kay Kirk and family xoxoxo
Miriam, you were the most Royal Lady we’ve ever met. We love you today we will love you tomorrow and always. You will truly be missed.

I met this delightful lady at Focus senior center in Tuscaloosa, and enjoyed playing bridge with her. She had a great sense of humor, and was truly a lovely person. I am thankful for having her as a friend, even for that short time.
