Mary Batt Grossfuss

August 29, 1966 ~ July 25, 2022

ELM CITY - Mary Batt Grossfuss, age 55, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022. Born in Miami-Dade County, FL on August 29, 1966, she was the daughter of the late Earle Edwin Batt and Charlotte Ringelspaugh Batt. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Christopher "Chris" E. Batt. Mary worked at Garden Day Spa and Styles Hair Salon as a nail technician for many years where she was well known and highly liked. She especially enjoyed going to the beach with family and friends and held a special place in her heart for her pets. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many, Mary will be forever missed by all who knew her. Mary is survived by her husband, Keith Allen Grossfuss; her son, Ryan Grossfuss; her grandchildren, Kaelyn and Grant Grossfuss; her sisters, Cheryle "Cherie" B. Smith and husband, Dean, and Linda Suzanne "Sue" Batt; her brothers, Earle Edin Batt, III and wife, Lisa, and William "Billy" E. Batt; and her nieces and nephews, Adriann Bryant, Blair Ellis, Ashley Gray, and Sean Smith. A Celebration of Mary's Life will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mary's memory to Haven at Blue Creek, 1290 E. Arlington Blvd., Suite 113, Greenville, NC 27858.   7. Keith & Ryan I am very sorry to hear about Mary passing. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. My prayers are with you all during this very difficult time. Mary and I met at Lowes Home Improvement when they were on 301. We would see each other and lose touch but then we would see each other again and get caught up.
